That’s a good price for it, I have a 360a 36cc and have zero issues. What engine is yours?GoMachV wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 4:38 pm My 5b clone arrived today, this was the one I got for $311 shipped but was coming by sea. Ended up a few weeks early, but still about a month and a half. Still, not at all disappointed, well worth saving the $100 or so in air freight. It's an absolute monster
I loaded mine with ddm parts and quickly surpassed 3k, and I haven’t ran it in 2 years at least maybe 3.
No issues just too big and expensive for me to have real fun with. It’s minimum $100 per break.

That takes me back to the HPIBajaForum days. I used to have a.bunch of HPI, MCD, FG, Yankee and Lauterbacher cars. All at the same time was not the best financial decision I ever made...

It's their basic 29cc, nothing special at all but from what I hear they seem to run okTurbobuick wrote: What engine is yours?

It needs a little clean up but I'm really happy to get this. I like my faux coffin chassis custom builds but they only exist because the real thing was so hard to find. I have some plans for this one.

From the pic, it doesn't seem to need anything. That is a good looking buggy!
Interesting color choices, though. Did it have a Joker themed body?

It is a really nice buggy and it doesn't need anything, but there's an add-on that I think it should have.
The body was blue, green, and yellow. I respect what he was doing, but I have a different body for it.

Well, there is that one front.... plus one more for the front left shock.

The other thing it needs I'll be contacting you later for.

Now this is surprising…… remember a ways back there was one we discussed that did not have steering servo mounting holes ?
Neither does this one. Interesting for sure
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I also remember that one. Did any of the coffin chassis come with steering servo holes? If one has the servo holes it might be hard to determine if they were added or if they came with them from AE.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:02 pm remember a ways back there was one we discussed that did not have steering servo mounting holes ?

Reg’s pic from the 25yr thread.
I’m thinking now in reality that we can consider there to be two versions of the late graphite chassis

Reg's chassis also has a hole next to the battery cup for the antenna mount that mine doesn't have.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:22 pm Reg’s pic from the 25yr thread. IMG_0792.jpeg
