New to RC and need some help identifying my thrift

Post by cain156 »

Hello, I am new to RC and happened upon a yard sale and picked up an RC10. (CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO POST A PHOTO LOL)

Can I ask for some help identifying it as I can't find any info on a C-stamp (Under the motor it has C stamped in the metal). I see info on A and B stamp but not C.

It is copper is color, and has a body that seems to be from the Campion stealth 1992/96 version on the car.

Thank you!

The C stamp is also known as the Championship Edition.

This link cuts directly to the CE.

:?:

The C stamp was used on all of the last versions of original vehicles, CE, Team, Worlds, and 10T. The color was the only diffrence between the CE and the Team/10T chassis.

The CE used A, AB, B, and C chassis through its long production.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

He specifically asked about an RC10 with a C stamp, what else could that be?

JC literally wrote it out. C stamp does not mean CE.

A gold or copper colored RC10, with a C stamp, is not always a Championship Edition?

The earlier CE buggies did not have a C stamp chassis. Other non-CE models of RC10 also had the C stamp chassis. C stamp does not equal CE, its just the later version of the pan chassis. C stamp chassis come in gold and also black finishes.

Just to be 100% clear, I never meant that a C-stamp RC10, had anything to do with the abbreviation CE, only the fact that an RC10, with the C-stamp, is always a Championship Edition.

Where did I get that from? The excellent thread we all know - only added the direct link to the CE in that list:
https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=124342#p124342

The OP seemed to be in a hurry - as in item in hand, onsite, what do I have here? Tried to help the OP quickly figure it out.

Now if he figures out how to post some pictures we can see which C stamped CE he was lucky enough to find at a yard sale

CE is the abbreviation for Championship Edition. They predate the C stamp chassis by several years.

The C stamp chassis refers to that iteration of the chassis, which has absolutely nothing to do with the Championship Edition car.

The C stamp chassis was used on ALL versions of the RC10 and 10T at that time.

My Team Car has a C stamp chassis, one of my 10T's has a C stamp, and I have another buggy that was built from a C stamp 10T.

I read the OP carefully, and responded briefly, with a link to the full story. I never meant the C in C stamp meant or stood for Championship Edition, merely the C-stamp RC10 in his hand was known as the Championship Edition, also noted CE.

And you are still wrong! :D

With that said, the car is probably a CE, but since we have no pics, we may never know.

"We may never know"

If it's a gold RC10, with a C-Stamp, it can't be anything other than a Championship Edition, or a CE, as shown in the link that's been posted many times now.
