Romsey 4wd off road Dominator?
Does anybody know when the first Dominators came out? I have been sent a photo from the 87 Romsey off road Worlds which looks to me to be a modified Dominator layout. Does anyone know who might have been running this?

Re: Romsey 4wd off road Dominator?
June 14, 1986, Mark Gray won the East Coast Dirt Oval Championships, in the 4wd modified class, held at B&H Hobbies in Mechanicsville, VA. with an early Landgraff Dominator. He was there along with his brother...Darwin Gray. I was sponsored by B&H Hobbies at the time and was only 15yrs. old when that race went down and was lucky to finish in the B/C mains (2wd/4wd/stock/modified). I was actually at the shop when they arrived from Hesperia, CA. and showed them the track with a 2wd RC-10/w modified motor. My over confident mistake as they took notes...lol! Those boys showed up with those Dominator's and blew everybody away...it was still yokes for 4wd on dirt oval till then. They we're running Premier Modified motors with that OG checkerd flag label....I remember being surprised they weren't running Revtech's. One of the locals actually bought one of the Dominator's from Mark or Darwin for $2000 cash, electronics, multiple matched 7-cell battery packs, motor and body as it came off the track....as far as I remember....and I do remember running against that same car at the local race a week later...lol. They actually called it a DCW (Dominator Custom Works) in the race write up. Fully covered in the August 1986/Issue 61/Volume #7 of R/C News Magazine...pg.40. http://www.dirt-burners.com/rcdox/Magazines/RC%20News%20(EN-US)/RCN_61_1986_Aug.pdf

Some great info, thanks guys. So the timeline fits at least.
This is the car in question. Who would have run this at Romsey off Road worlds in 1987? RC10 rear wishbones?

So Bob Novak rolling out a portion of Landgraff creativity at Romsey
Also didn't notice before in the video (part 1) that the Peak Plus charger he brought along was partially designed by Kent Clausen - lots to learn from these videos.
