Finally scored a really nice Duratrax Powerline motor (17x3 2wd Off-road version), Novak Tempest Max with some 2-cell Li-Po doodad (very much unnecessary in this household), and one of them cool clear case Shredder receivers.

Novak LiPo SmartStop..... good gizmo for adding LiPo protection to older ESCs... I used to run one on my old GTB back when I first got into using LiPo packs.R6cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 7:20 pm Finally scored a really nice Duratrax Powerline motor (17x3 2wd Off-road version), Novak Tempest Max with some 2-cell Li-Po doodad (very much unnecessary in this household), and one of them cool clear case Shredder receivers.

Are those Shredders valued these days, with the 10CC release? Maybe I should offload my couple....

Osiris is the key.

I'll keep the SmartStop around, even though it'll likely never get used.Incredible_Serious wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 7:38 pm Novak LiPo SmartStop..... good gizmo for adding LiPo protection to older ESCs... I used to run one on my old GTB back when I first got into using LiPo packs.

I paid $13 for the Shredder. Have no idea what the average going rate is for them, but it has $13 of cool factor alone in my opinion. So the fact that it works is a free bonus.

Haha. I keep seeing those Novak battery boxes for NiMH and want to buy for absolutely no reason

I had that charger in '86. It came with the Molex/Tamiya just like it has. The battery side of mine had those clamp style connectors with back and red sleeves like this:

Interesting you mention this, as one of these popped up locally for not many $$$ the other day, and I had to work hard to stop myself from throwing a bid on it...
They look cool and vintage perfect, and can be upgraded for LiPo charging, but I don't *really* need another charger.....Osiris is the key.

It has been 39 days this box was put in the mail in China. It has been in the US for 24 days. Customs held it for 8 days, with no reason given. The USPS decided to take it cross country ............. twice.
I literally thought this one was a goner. After all that though, it was packaged very well, and no damage at all.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Customs guy 1: "Dang, I ordered one of these, but mine is delayed a week"
Customs guy 2: "Keep this one and give him yours when it arrives."
Customs guy 1: "Do you think he would mind? Oh wait, that doesn't matter.

Got my Dirtmaster in. This will likely be my loaner car for silvercan racing.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.
