Shapeways files for bankrupcy
didnt see that coming!
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Maybe Traxxas is suing them.

Re: Shapeways files for bankrupcy
My own supposition is that the pricing was way too high comparing to the competition, which at the end did not really help...

The vacuum fillers will be so much better.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

That wasn't an article about Shapeways filing for bankruptcy... it was an ad for the 3D printing company that's going to follow.

I blame their excessive pricing and constant bickering about how "printable" certain objects are.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Shame really but my Shapeways shop never made me much money , overpriced in today's market place .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Our last two orders from them sucked. Our chain drive sprockets from Dadio were crooked and they wouldnt redo them.

Never ordered from Shapeways due to the overpricing, that and noticing a lot of negative reviews/comments. Surely won't be missed over here.

Re: Shapeways files for bankrupcy
I've had several satisfactory orders from them, usually holiday specials.
My last order wasn't as nice and took longer, but it was made in a newly available (cheaper) material.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
