Re: RC Top Faux Buff CAT 10
I was thinking of a brushed motor setup, but changed my mind.

Re: RC Top Faux Buff CAT 10
All wired up.
. . .
A little test in the house on the carpet showed that this thing might like to wheelie a bit. I need to find a good location to do some outdoor off road testing.

Group photo! Everyone say cheese! Hey new guy, get in the back row!
Apparently I like to use #8 decals... they probably hide paint blemishes really well.

Re: RC Top Faux Buff CAT 10
Maybe it will be # 8....
Actually my next build will be # 3. It's been waiting patiently for a while.

Re: RC Top Faux Buff CAT 10
My printer is up and running again after replacing the nozzle heating element so it was time to take care of the battery. I plan to run Lipo but don't need a 5000mah pack. I think these little 2000mah packs have a satisfying amount of run time and they are so light. So I printed up an adapter to fit the battery cup setup.

Absolutely stunning. Any plans for allowing us mere design-challenged mortals access to your printed bits?

Re: RC Top Faux Buff CAT 10
I hadn't thought much about it. There's a couple of fabricated and modified pieces, and I was focused on making it work in nylon material, so I'm not sure the parts would be strong enough in other materials. You can IM me about it and we can discuss. It's one of those things that I'd feel better having it as a kit but my first kit experience wasn't great.
