Team Associated RC10 B2 Ads

Post by Dangeruss »

in 1995, after 11 years and 6 iterations, Team Associated introduced an heir to the throne of their 1/10th scale RC10 off-road buggy. Succinctly named, the RC10 B2. gone were the aluminum tub chassis and white nylon parts, replaced with black molded components and a composite chassis with upswept sides and bolt-on aluminum nose and tail sections. A-arms and turnbuckles were lengthened front and rear, as were the oil-filled coil over shocks, for greater suspension travel. A new top plate tied a revised steering system with spring tensioned servo saver into the chassis and front bulkhead, the latter of which supported a black fiberglass shock tower. The rear bulkhead was integrated into the chassis and served as attachment points for the composite rear shock tower and transmission brace. The aluminum motor plate equipped Stealth transmission was redesigned with a larger 2.4:1 ball differential leading to longer axles with smaller diameter shafts and larger bearings. Sport kits came with electronics and received gold anodized shocks, dog bone axles, bushings, and three-piece wheels with Proline Flat Stubbie rear/Edge front tires; while race kits were less electronics and fitted with PTFE coated shocks, universal joints, bearings, and single piece wheels with TQ73 pin style rear tires and TQ23 ribbed fronts. Both kits received a new low profile Mirage body:
