JRX2 my only Losi

Post by Synergy »

Most of you guys will remember this $57 ebay baeter win, oh how you laughed

http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2317

Well it's the only Losi I have ever owned  and I've been spurred on by the arrival of a new body for it to get started. I'm not trying to go box art correct (as Asso_man! pointed out it's to far gone for that) I will be happy if I can just get it looking nice so any advice on that front would be welcome.

All I have done up to now is strip the gear out of it, I will do a bit more this weekend.

looks good. Are you going to run it? It looks like all you really need to get it looking period is a set of 5-spoke orange wheels.

This car makes me smile :D , this little Losi was a tick it off the list car, it looked like a basket case :( , but when I got rid of the nasty electric installation and added some soap, water, a new body and wing and a little paint here and there I found what I think is quite a tidy car. I'm quite proud to have saved it and I think it deserves to sit in my collection, I hope you all agree.

There was only one broken part :) (a rear shock bottom) and I need some wheels and tires, the ones it's wearing at the moment are from another of my shelfers.

I haven't quite finished the cleaning process yet, I still want to tidy up the turn buckles and add a new screw set, I would also like some decals, Mrlexan do you repro the original JRX2 decal sheet :?: apart from that it's pretty much done.

Sorry about the quality of the shots, it's winter here in the North East of England, it's getting dark and my lighting set up is none existent  (on the list of things to sort)

Thanks Asso_man!, the body was an ebay win,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280168678335&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=018

and it came already painted which works for me :D

Thanks for the kind offer on the spur but that might get me into chasing original parts for it and I don't want to start on that

WOW that's a good price considering the rarity of these bodies. Nice grab for sure! I understand perfectly your point on the original parts

nice body. That one didn't show up in my search here in the US or it probably would not have gone for so little.
Now I've gotta figure out how to get my auto-search for jrx-2 stuff to include the UK.

if it's not listed as an international auction, you'll have no other option than to browse Ebay UK

yes.. he sniped it out of my very hands...

Nice won though and it went to a great home on Ferretti's JRX :)

Anyone know what happened to the gorgeous mint JRX the guy was selling? It never made it's reserve but I guess a few of us had a go (I know I did)

Sorry Tom :( but to be honest I had a load of money on it so one of us could have ended up paying a lot for it.

I sniped to just over £70 I didn't want to bust the £100 barrier with postage on the JRX2 you mention.
