I think sometimes 12th scale racers favor acceleration and high wind motors. I guess?
The quad and quint winds are kinda cool to me, just because they are wrapping so many wires.

I recently and totaly inadvertently clicked on cheap Ninja in the local website for ads. It arrived today...

Front dogbones, central shaft and driver figure are missing, and bodyshell will have to be replaced, but that the price was inline with this and I coud not help myself to click it

Found a pair of CVA axles and an early B4/T4 gear cover at reasonable prices. Recent TBG order for a Kyosho Pro-XRT and Losi MF1 XXX-T bodies. The alcohol pads I specifically got for decal prep.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I worked out a deal on a B&R wired sprint car chassis last week, and it got me back in the mood to pay tribute to Kenny Rogers again with a Gambler Sprint Car build. I then stumbled across a good deal on some Sees wheels and body that should fit the bill perfectly. About then I realized that the B&R chassis is a downtube style, and the '80s Gambler car I want to work with in a non-downtube. And then I remembered I had an Ascot chassis just waiting for the opportunity. Gambler build on!!

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Not today, but yesterday, and I did not find time to post about it...

I got my original 44B Hilux body back from Loisirs Creations RC with two additional bodies mainly targeted for my 44B Hiliux runner, and as well, a nice Manx TT 1/8 buggy I'll have to prepare for one of the next events... The setup is quite basic and very inspired from late seventy rc designs. Spring board on the front, springs at the rear, with a belt setup... I'll have to make a specific thread on this car, as it is a very simple way to make a fun car...
