Re: RCX 2024 in Pomona
$3000 in giveaways is what, 15 kits for them? Is it just me or is that some really cost-effective advertising? You'd think with as many brands as Horizon Hobby owns if it were anything it'd be a Horizon Fest. Which, actually sounds like a real thing.RC10resto wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 11:50 pm Looks like it might be a Traxxas Fest?

How was it?! You mentioned no one had kits for sale but how was the show otherwise? Worth going to? All hype? Get any pictures?
...inquiring minds want to know.

Re: RCX 2024 in Pomona
Really small. With parking at $18 I probably wasn’t going without the free tickets I got. Not enough vendors. No drift area. I was really hoping for more for my son. I also went with one purchase in mind - a crawler kit, and not one was there. Other then the size of the show it was a lot of fun. There were only 2-3 hobby shops, traxxas, hitec, FrSky and a few others there. The off road expo was at the same time so it was buy one get one free. I’m also an OHVer so are the people I came with so that was a blast too.
I never take enough photos…

Purdy Disco II...
...bummer the show was small, at least the Off Road Expo made up for it a little. Tough one on the vendors area (or show in general) not meeting expectations too. Surprised your son isn't tearing your sleeve off telling you the kind of car he wants.

For your crawler question, I see that Associated has a listing that might meet the need.
