RC10FX (aka Japanese Spec. RC10 Championship Edition)
Hi everyone,
I present to you my freshly built Team Associated RC10FX. This model was released in Japan only and is essentially an RC10 Championship Edition with a few extra parts not included with the American (and everywhere else except Japan) release versions. The extra parts that were included in this kit are as follows-
RCPS Turbo Mirage Body
Yokomo Aluminium Wheel Adapters
Yokomo 2.15 inch 4 Hole Rear Wheels
Yokomo TF-220 Front Tires
Yokomo TR-32 Rear Tires
Team Associated 1 Piece Front Rims (not sure if latter RC10 Champ. Editions came with these also)
Yokomo White Molded Plastic Wing with Yokomo Wing Buttons
Team Associated Universal Drive Shafts
For me, that this kit included the RCPS Turbo Mirage Body makes this car special and I guess having the other parts is an added bonus. I now understand why most of the RC10's on this website http://www93.sakura.ne.jp/~time-tunnel/index.html have RCPC bodies on them...
I am very happy to have this car in my collection as I used to race a Champ Edition (albeit heavily modified) when I was younger with success.
I hope you enjoy the pics.
Vin

Wow, nice! Never heard of those differences, it totally makes sense with the Sakura thingy! Where did you get it? Directly from Japan?

Now that is really cool. I assume that front bumper is a Yokomo part as well?

I can't remember when I've seen a car looking that good. The Gold tub is perfect almost looks like real gold.
Now, I wonder what this one would sell for in today's market considering the rare air prices for some of the stuff.
Totally awesome!

Re: RC10FX (aka Japanese Spec. RC10 Championship Edition)
Thanks for the comments guys.
I am also assuming that the bumper is a Yokomo product but I can't say for sure. I have seen photos of some Japanese racers rc10's on various sites use this bumper on their own RC10's.
a01butal, you are correct about the chassis. Compared to my other Champ. Edition, this chassis seems to have a better finish but there are a few factors that could have contributed to this.
