biggest secret in rc... those come from the local hardware store. Drill a couple holes...bam!

Just 1/4-20 nylon bolts with a 7/64 or so hole in one end and 1/16" hole for a body pin. I made a jig from a nylon nut to be able to drill it nicely.

I have searched high and low locally for anything over 1.5", and haven't found them. :(
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

ahh ok, we have a really good little hardware store here but you might be stuck using mcmaster or similar. When I was told a few years back that these iconic body posts (bolink, RJ, and several others!) were just nylon bolts my head just about exploded

It may be just a me thing, but the threaded body post is my go-to on anything remotely custom build. I love them, and they are very 80s/90s to me, and just a requirement of that genre. I can get better looking posts, even when custom building, but they just don't speak to me like the simple threaded / shouldered nylon bolt! :D Yea, if I could find a source, I would buy a dozen of every length from 1.5 - 5" in a heartbeat!

Finally, the hunt for some B4 CVD bones is over and in hand today. Two of them were available, so why not. Also, a screw kit from Tony's Screws.

Got this big steaming pile of mostly Tamiya TG10 parts in the post from an eBay auction win....

Was purchased to be parts for one of my Tamiya TB01 builds.... so all the nitro-specific parts (chassis, brake setup, motor, exhaust, etc.) will likely be relisted.

Came with some interesting bonuses, like some alloy turnbuckle links, body posts, and hexes, as well as a working Savox servo, and a small amount of random GV parts. Tyres are not glued to the wheels, thankfully, and will find a home on another set of rims I have.... I love the 26mm / 32mm wheel sets on a touring car.

WRX body is in pretty good shape, considering how it looks.... sadly, it was painted with the wrong paint (probably brushed-on TS paint), so it's flaking everywhere. May try to give it a strip and respray, as it's too good to waste... if I can get all the old (and wrong colour!) blue off.
Osiris is the key.

I found a new 19D a few years ago, then this 19S popped up last week. These early 1990’s motors with ceramic shafts are really cool.

Nice find! Looks like an original first release based on the chassis plates, drive shafts, motor plate and lack of sacs front end, can’t wait to see what it cleans up like.👍🏼

Paintwork should have "Impulse Control" splashed across body in a colorful, aggressive "font". :P
Hope you're doin' something fun.
