Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....
I am getting happier and happier that AE kicked me out of the queue. Saved a few bucks.
edit: and I wish I lived closer to this HS. I could use a DR10M for $150!

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I just got the email 24 hours ago... I also looked at it more in-depth, and it says "Due to high demand, we have reserved you one of these items. You have until Sat, December 2nd, 2023 at 1:53am PST to complete your purchase on this item, otherwise it will be offered to the next person on the wait list." Yet I wasn't reserved anything as they're now gone. If I was legitimately waiting with money in hand that would be really upsetting.

I didn't have the money any longer to buy one anyway so no big deal. This is the first time anyone has brought up that they exceeded it. I can always bump it up but how many is too many? My concern was for those on mobile devices.
I just got a good laugh out of the message, I thought it was funny. I don't think we need to bump up the smiley limit however

Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....
Someone (not sure if they are member here or not) posted an unboxing video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw3Kwiru5pc
Initial thoughts:
Pros:
Stamped "AE" logo on front nose plate like original
Ball cups actually look like a nice shade of white, not radioactive green
Cons:
One battery cup, seriously?
Two sets of servo mounts would have been nice too.
Observations:
Felt seals for outdrives are different color and material.
Nickel plated 1/8" E-clips.
Shock ends are nylon not clear, likely needed for flex.
Bushings almost look like they are brass?
Would have been a nice touch to include both bushings and bearings as a build option.

also clear shock caps, unlike the classic rere with aluminum caps. Both cool and not cool at the same time.

Reminds me of the Hammad VLT shocks, very cool until the shock shafts punched the cap off.

I wonder if they fixed the build errors from the 2013 re-release manual? We'll find out soon enough.
Chris.

That's what I was hoping AE would release, a stealth CE car to fill the gap of what has already been released.
