You should have linked to the auction. Purchased!
That was one of the last bits I needed for a proper early Edinger build.

Re: Rarest of the RARE
According to a few wise guys on FB the CSC rear universals are mega rare. I have heard them parrot that only a dozen or so were produced, yet I have had a few and I often see them fs.
IMO one of the rarest items known to man is the BRP Powerglide tranny. According to Barry Raborn there were maybe 100 kits produced. Rare to find used, and impossible to find nip. Fortunately I can occasionally do impossible things. If only I could find the winning Powerball numbers...

Amazing!
It made me remember about the Bullet Racing Products wheels I have which possibly fits the topic.

Re: Rarest of the RARE
CSC axles are not that rare. A guy I race with has a big lot of them from dude who made them originally.

Seriously?! I have a set of copper springs that I think are Yokomo's but I'm not certain. I'll get pictures of them later.

Re: Rarest of the RARE
The claim about CSC sliders can easily be proven to be BS by the fact that they came as standard on the Trackmaster Equalizer...which had a base model, and a "Signature Series", that were numbered up to 100 (I think) . They were also used as standard on the Badger dirt oval car but that car probably qualifies as one of the Rarest of the Rare too.

Re: Rarest of the RARE
Any tips on cleaning those super rare Yokomo copper colored springs? Over time, and light use they get darker and dirtier or stained in appearance. Anyone get them back to the copper shine as before?

Sand Rover / Tamiya Holiday vintage rear tires used by Jay Halsey to win the 1985 IFMAR race with. The two three two spike variety. I would like a pair of those...

Well, I do remember being blown-away as a kid when my brother (coin nerd) took a turd brown penny, and dropped it in some vinegar with some table salt mixed in. Blammo! Bright matte finish copper. Also catsup/ketchup. I think it's the vinegar component. But, if you want them "super shiny" probably just some tableware grade "silver polish".
I just now did the vinegar and salt with this penny: And this is just a buff up with a soft cloth
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Some I'd classify as rarest of the rare....

RC Innovater's Mid Motor RC10 Chassis:
Scot-Teck RC12L 1/10 conversion:
MRP Scorpion arms are rare but any of these are even rarer:
