2005 Top Force. Built from NIB kit. Had to replace the right rear axle as that part had come from the factory not threaded.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2023 ** - Winner - scr8p
I wanted to participate this contest for quite a while, but I wanted to do with something very unique...
Reproduction of a Marui MT60-RC09 Mitsubishi Jeep kit as presented in Marui RC 1986 catalog

It features :
- Enhanced chassis with more battery room, additional holes to ease cable management, shocks mods (relying on some mini CVA from Tamiya) and reinforcement
- Improved gearbox and new printed gears (strengthened compared to the original one, with a different module, a stainless steel idle gear and bearings on both ends of the idle shaft) with a brushless motor
- Rubber resin printed custom tires
- Custom printed bodyshell (and custom stickers courtesy of a friend)
- Leds on front, roll cage and rear
it's part of a multi build project, which included modeling of the chassis for Super Wheelies and Big Bear, re-building a Big Bear and a Super Wheelie CJ-7 Golden Eangle, and it required CAD models the Land Cruiser and the CJ-7 Golden Eagle bodyshells. The CAD model of the Mitsubishi Jeep and the build details are starting here : https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=554076#p554076

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2023 ** - Winner - scr8p
First time submission.
This is my vintage TMNT party wagon that was converted to RC with a custom designed/fabricated Tamiya TT-02 chassis.
The TT-02 chassis seemed like a good fit but it had to be shortened by 4”. I was able to squeeze everything onto the shortened chassis but had to move the steering servo to the left side of the vehicle. Even then, the steering bell ranks were hitting the end bell of the motor and needed a bit of dremel work. The custom bits of the chassis include the following:
- CNC machined upper and lower carbon fiber deck
- Machined aluminum prop shaft
- Custom designed and 3D printed body posts
- Custom designed and 3D printed wheels
- I also had to hack up the toy to fit over the chassis.
For the wheels. I found appropriate front and rear tires that were a close match to the original plastic toy wheels in diameter and width. I then had to design custom wheels that not only looked the part but also had the appropriate offset to set the correct track width (front and rear) when paired to the TT-02 chassis. With the design finished, I 3D printed the wheels.
I am quite happy with the end product it looks good and is fun to drive around.
