ProCAT re-re price drop

I just went to Amain to check on the JJ Ultima. I was greeted by an ad for the ProCAT re-re at $299. With code "oct2523", it drops to $275.

I wasn't in the market for one, but at that price.....

This may only be news to me. I haven't been shopping for RC cars for a while. It was $399 last time I looked.

I've been watching it for a while, although at Stormer Hobbies. I'm trying to find a reason to need one. Just being cool is close to enough of a reason but hasn't quite pushed me to get one.

I have the re-re XLS and an original BossCAT, so I passed on this one originally. Shelfers are one thing, but all of my cars are runners. I didn't see a need for another 4WD like the 2 I already have, plus it was $90 more than the XLS, plus Schumacher's re-re quality seems to have slipped, plus my Cougar was delayed so long I was still building it when the ProCAT was released, yadda yadda yadda. Then I remembered that this hobby is not about making logical, responsible decisions; it is about burning hard earned $$$. I have 2 TCs and 2 Cougars, so why not a 3rd CAT?

There are quite a lot of differences between the xls and procat and bosscat -enough to justify another buggy in my opinion or I might just be a bit biased

Since I will run 2S LiPo, can I swap out the lower chassis plate for the re-re XLS chassis? I seem to recall that being the case. Or maybe Jeff can make me one without slots or any extra holes.

The rere procat is setup to take a shorty lipo just like the xls rere so you should be good to go

I would just be doing it for the sake of appearance. I don't like the slots since I know I will never use them.

I'm guessing the USPS Priority Mail price figure would go up when they find out you live on the other side of the planet

Great deal if you're in the US, though.
