Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

I'm building a rc10 DS in one of the new 6001 gold pans.

I was considering replacing the GT style bell cranks with b2 style so I could free up some space to move the electronics forward.

Is this a bad idea?

Are there any ways to do this without drilling holes in the chassis?
Is there a strong enough tape or velcro to hold down the servo?
Has anyone tried using CA or epoxy to secure servo mounting blocks?


I can either switch up chassis to one with some already installed bonus holes, or just mount the servo the boring normal way if that doesn't work out.

There will be very slight movement.. not as good as solid posts of course, but better than servo tapes & industrial Velcro.

One problem that you may run into is clearance between the bellcranks and the chassis. The shape of B2 bellcranks is a little bulkier than other types.

If you have an idea of how you want it positioned I might be able to 3D print you a mount that uses existing chassis holes.

Since it's for an on-road application, perhaps a mini servo could be used as well.

Maybe something as simple as a plate that attaches to the chassis, with new transverse holes. The lower profile of a mini servo would offset the added height of the adapter plate.

I have attached servo's with servo tape to my on road and off road chassis without issue.
I also attach my battery cups with it.
Using 3M VHB tape currently.

Thanks. Where do you get yours from? What model number are you using? I see some pretty large price disparities on Amazon based on model number.

Thanks.That is a great thought. I could just make a small plate adapter out of kydex or carbon fiber that I could attach to the existing chassis holes and some servo mounts.

I did notice that. I was planning on using a small washer or thick tape to handle that.

They are also bulkier on the side. They will somewhat limit steering travel by hitting the side of the pan.

That might be an issue, but it could work.

Measurement wise they seem similar width to the gt style pieces. The top of the arm seem like it could be an issue hitting the chassis.
