JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
So I’m putting together a runner JRXT and the original shocks that came with it had the normal broken shock collars and one of the shock cartridges is leaking a bit….
Wanted to know if I could use these shock bodys with shock cartridge A5015 and move over the shock shafts and pistons from the OG shocks? Not sure if they are the right length?

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
You'll need to check the part numbers. Not sure what the Short Course shocks were, but on the buggies and stadium trucks, there were four different part numbers: buggy and truck fronts, and buggy and truck rears.Andybellus wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 4:57 pm So I’m putting together a runner JRXT and the original shocks that came with it had the normal broken shock collars and one of the shock cartridges is leaking a bit….

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
Thanks for the feedback… from the pic I see A5056 showing xxx-SCT on the label so I assume the one I posted would work as they are also advertised as such.
So the front shock on the Truck isn’t 1.2 like the rear? it’s different? Cause the shocks I have F/R are same length?
I’d much rather have the Losi OEM stuff but can’t find em..

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
Those are the rears that are based on the 1.2" shocks. You need the A5036 fronts (0.9"). all the way around for a JRXT. Granted you can make the other ones work with towers and limiters.Andybellus wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 4:57 pm So I’m putting together a runner JRXT and the original shocks that came with it had the normal broken shock collars and one of the shock cartridges is leaking a bit….

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
I found my set by googling the part numbers. I get the idea that losi parts pre-tlr 22 were still stocked at hobby stores, rather than drop shipped, so if a hobby store has a website, you can try searching then individually and see what they've got.Andybellus wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 5:48 pm Thanks for the feedback… from the pic I see A5056 showing xxx-SCT on the label so I assume the one I posted would work as they are also advertised as such.

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
the number was in reference to the brand of aftermarket shock bodies he had posted before based on the sizes the XXXSCT used.Retro rc wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 1:32 am Part number for the treaded 0.9 shock bodies I a5055 not a5036, I’ve found 1 pair on eBay at the mo but I’d say be quick

Re: JRXT threaded shocks upgrade?
The JRXT uses .9" shocks front and rear (assuming 5-link suspension and shock tower). The original shock seal cartridges are a different length inside and out though, so when you use the newer style cartridge, you need to use the included spacers to make sure the shock travel is correct. You can use the .9 threaded collar shock bodies LOSA5055.

(1.2" shocks were used with H-arms and the JRX-Pro style rear shock tower)
