REMINDER: August 1st is tomorrow when I planned on updating the forum software. Unsurprisingly, a bunch of stuff has come up that's trying to impede me from doing so but an attempt will be made. If I'm able to do it, the board will likely be down frequently, and for long stretches of time.

Alright, after working on the board for over 7 hours straight, everything has been updated. I still have a bunch to do but it's currently 8:00am, and I'm off to bed. I'll work on it some more later this evening.

It's funny how after all that work, it looks like I did nothing at all...

Forest for the trees...

Noticeable difference in appearance without looking like a whole new theme. Most importantly... the site and pages loads a LOT faster than before.

I give it two thumbs up!

Did the skin options hide somewhere, or are they no longer compatible? I normally use acidtech. If no longer available that's fine. Not looking to cram a bunch of extra work your way.

I was wondering the same.

I kept thinking of the Futurama episode where Bender meets God in space and is told "When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all."

I noticed before going to sleep that the default theme is on the wrong setting. It has different color choices, and it's set on black instead of blue. That'll make it look more like it did before. It's kind of a pain to change as the coding has to be manipulated.

Only one of them wasn't compatible. Fortunately, Acidtech is still compatible! I just have to add it again. I was too tired to deal with the additional skins after everything else. I'll be installing and configuring them sometime later today. :)

I just spent another countless amount of hours finishing everything up. So It's officially 100% done... for now.

All looks great!!! :D I have never played with the skins before, so those are fun.

Little glitch I ran into. If I enclose a web address in the "Insert URL" brackets, it adds "rc10talk.com/" to the beginning of the address and the link doesn't work. It is not physically typed there, but the forum is adding it for some reason.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Huh, interesting. I searched phpBB's support forums, and found several older topics on the subject with no resolutions. :? It's happening on their demo forum as well which tells me it's not exclusive to us. Something must have changed in the latest version. I'll continue looking into it.

If worse comes to worst, I'll have to disable the ability to enter links using the BBCode method.

On my android phone, they are in this drop-down menu.

Their post was made before I was able to install the additional skins which is why Frankentruck and R6cowboy couldn't find them. I posted a response to them that they still needed to be installed which I would be doing. I did it, and added that drop-down menu for easier accessibility. Although I don't particularly care for it, and it will likely be removed. The default method to change skins is in the User Control Panel.
