I did prepared the paint yesterday evening... But I just noticed that my black PS can was almost empty...
Today, once back from work, I decided to gamble on the fact that the can content was enough to do what I need and that was the case as the end... And the can is now really empty...
Few minutes later the paint is over...
I will perhaps add a few stickers, but I really like it this way...
Some cars really need a driver , just finished it off nicely, I like it as it is as well .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
Added lettering on the tires, but was still unhappy...
So I decided to add leds, and I designed led holders... The side one is printed in TPU, the rear one in ABS (and it relies on the same principles I already used in the past)....
It's much better with leds... But somehow this is missing a wing...
As mentioned somewhere else, I got a second Bearcat SS today...
It came with a box, the original driver, a few missing bits (steering rods - but I need to check inside the box), a broken bumper... Speaking about the bumper, there is an home made one made from a metal plate (3mm thick) which is quite nicely done but very heavy...
Maybe a way to reduce the willingness of the car to go wheelie with the sbsolute power of its 540 silver can
I had the TPU in the printer, ready to roll (and dried as I just printed a sample of 44B rock'n Vega Bumper), so I thought about printing a Bumper to replace the missing one for the Bearcat SS n°2.
Previous runs were short, promising but short... The first one was vey shorten by a loose pulley (the intenal one), the second by some escaping pivot balls... I solved the ones which were identified as difficult and was impatient to try the car again, as the short runs look promising...
I ran it quite a lot... No Belt skips, the car is easy to control, silent and shocks worked quite well, and overall the car is quite easy to control... I made jumps during quite a few laps, and at the end of the second serie of laps, I snapped one the pivot balls again (but this time, not on the wheel side, but on the chassis side - I'll have to work out a solution for this). The video is short again, and don't show any of the jump, unfortunately, but still, nice to have one, as it is a rare car on a track...
Was watching a JRX2 on the bay all week. Looked great and she sent me more pics. I know I spent too much, but I am happy with it. This was a one owner car - took great care of it. Has manual, stickers, older electronics which is a bonus, aluminum...

Mine got like that and I have had it 20 years so I know its never been wet just in a box. I have taken apart a lot of Losi and almost always through away the pins and bolts. I buy stainless in bulk and just replace all of them and pitch the stock or...
I've been thinking about starting this thread for quite awhile since it seems there are a lot of gearheads here, myself included! I love any motor from the classic pushrod V-8 to insane brushless motors. I especially love performance boats and skis....

Thanks guys. I look forward to this new start. I also might be picking up a personal project from the guy I will be helping. A 1987 Chrysler Conquest. Basically a Mitsubishi Starion.
Awesome, I always loved those cars... they always look good to...
OK... I got this one off ebay a few weeks back. I think I pay to much for it. No... I know I pay to much for it. It was suppose to be some kind of truck conversion, RTR all you need is electronics. You know how it goes. Boy was I surprised....

From the times I've tried to clean white parts they never turn out like new. I've never tried the Oxy Clean method mentioned earlier. I may next time. I prefer to give up vintage looks in order to have a clean end-product. I always end up dying them...
Ok, I picked up my lot today. They are in alright condition, but I am going for a full resto probably for the pink and gold one. The black one doesn't really appeal to me though. And I know very little about these, so please give me some direction...

It's up to you and I know it's hard letting one go. The Pink chassis would definately look cool once restored. If you do decide to sell the black one I would be very interested in buying it from you.
