That looks like a good chassis for a rocket car. Looks like a Pro Stock and a Legends kit had a baby

It's a RJSpeed Promod chassis and an vintage Bolink Sprinter chassis for the sides

Speaking as a village idiot that launched a model rocket horizontally once, you're definitely going to want brakes.

Also you might want to move the rockets back a little bit so you're not turning your axle into a rotisserie, those things burn pretty hot and it may warp/damage the axle

Oh I'm aware of that but it's still firing adjacent to the axle, while not in directly behind it the heat is still there.

I'm curious how your charge timing will work out with two parallel motors. Will you be launching with on board ignition or a conventional starter?

Additionally, it looks like you could cut an eccentric slot at the front motor mount bolt, so that you could angle the mount up or down to experiment with motor positioning.Screenshot_20230422-051557_Samsung Internet.jpg

Yup, that's the plan...I have a way of igniting them simultaneously....I think

That will be key if you don't want an instant tailspin. Also, hopefully the quality of the boosters is really high too. If one ignites at a different pace or they don't have the exact same thrust, the car may spin. Can't wait to find out!

Scored this mini timer for 8 bucks...gone use it to time the parachute deployment so I can concentrate on the wheel only keeping it going straight....once I kit the rocket igniters, the timer will start counting and hit the shoot depending on how long I want it to delay

Made some decent headway....mounted the rockets furthback like recommended...so they won't overheat the axle
That's an airplane receiver, I don't want to loose signal!

Modified the old Pro Mod body for now, had to lengthen rear wheel opening 1.5 inches back.... it isn't the final body, just something I can test run to see if the car will at least work
Car weighs 806grams way it sets, totally done it will be around 2lbs

Looks like I will have to run heat protection in the back of the body

Probably...I am gonna remove it...remember this use to be a nitro car...the body is just the way it was then....it needed that wing for rear traction...but with a rocket pushing, I doubt it...this body is just temporary till the 67' Camaro comes in...also...the single "F" engine mount came in...it's nice!...I might go single "F"... can't decide

Got the car all done except the parachute system, chute timer, body....everything has been tested and works...including the rocket igniter from the transmitter...weighs 2.01lbs with ProMod body on it...I converted to single engine for now, will work my way up to the duals...this is serious stuff...I put an "old school" brake system on it, works perfect!...also made the engine mount angle adjustible at the front
