This is a result of not enough Frog parts and too many other parts.... Just trying to get another buggy running for my kids. LOL I actually think it will work pretty good.... for a Frog. Still have a CRP bumper on the way and some assorted other parts.
My other mutt is my Falcon with relocated rear lower shock mounts on the trailing arms, Ultima front A-arms, RC10 spindles, and Kyosho Platinum front shocks and Wild One wheels. Hopefully my RC10, won't get sucked in by desire to jack with stuff...... uhhh, on second thought..... naaaaa not gonna happen...
funny: I had a friend who used falcon parts to mod his frog front end.
He also put monster beetle wheels and tires on and beat all the real monster beetles withtheir top-heavy ABS bodies on the one tamiya race he was allowed in.
Traxxas "Rad" gear box converted to mid engine with a kyosho "Montero" chain drive and bellhousing for the Picco .12 motor. leather brake shoe behind spur gear. RC10GT gas tank, kyosho "Montero" exhaust pipe cut and turned forward. The double deck frame is made from an old "No Trespassing" sign that i found in a field. The front suspension is from the traxxas "Rad" with RPM JRXT arms and Losi LXT front axles and carriers. Rear suspension is from a traxxas "Rad" with some kind of other traxxas arms and the rear hub carriers and axles are Losi LXT. Steering is some kind of ball bearing bellcrank form ? I also got the weight balanced almost perfect from front to back and side to side.
This is what i did about 8 years ago when i didn't have the money for a Gas truck and i had a grave yard of old parts and an imagination. Hope you all like it.

I guess the falcon was a decent starting point for mods - I wish I still had my mutt, or at least pics of it (no digital cameras in '89)
But I snapped the front suspension on my Falcon, and ended up doing a whole lot dremeling and replacing the Tamiya front-end with a COMPLETE RC10 from end (andy's arms and all)...It was a decent racer after that was done - just needed a bunch of bracing (to support the gold RC10 nose) and a lot of trial-n-error
SIgh...still wish I had that mutt

I like you. You remind me of when I was young and stupid
My friend had a standard falcon and was doing well at the local club with it. Then he quit rc, and I kept eye-balling his car, wishing to replace the plastic chassis with a sandwhich construction of 2 frp plates.
That design was so much easier to mutt than the boomerang I had.
He never let me
