Losi apparently still has some in stock.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Here’s a look at the different motor plates..
Mini JrxT has holes for 14-16 tooth pinions and comes with a 15t.

Mini Jrx2 has holes for 17-19 tooth pinions and comes with a 17t.

They both use the 60t spur gear. I would like to see Losi release an optional motor plate with slotted motor mount holes like the original.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
They should have done that from the start and also made it from thicker material. Hopefully the JRXTs don't come with pre stripped motor plates like 2 of my JRX2s did, especially with it being the serialized part...BattleTrak wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 5:21 pm Here’s a look at the different motor plates..

I might model up a plate and see if I can get some made of thicker material and with slotted motor mounting holes. No one else seems to want to do it.

Is my mind playing tricks? Wouldnt the larger pinion be further away from the spur, not closer?BattleTrak wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 5:21 pm Here’s a look at the different motor plates..

It is, you're rotating the entire motor with these holes, the lower side is the opposite directionJK Racing wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 10:27 pmIs my mind playing tricks? Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Got mine over the weekend: #3402. Already dinged the motor plate. Lol!
I guess the really low numbers went to distributors.
I don't want to burn up the step pins. Are there any mini-T tire options that aren't pre-mounted? Didn't see any at A-main.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Did find a couple of large enough prototype images on this forum and the front end looks almost exactly like a XX. Saw somebody else on here modeling stuff for the mini, so if I ever get free time again, I might take a stab at grafting scaled down XX parts.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
The JRXT wheels and tires are much bigger than Mini-T which uses the same size as the Mini B. The wheels on the JRXT are 1.5"x1.35" thankfully Losi does sell spares. Not sure who else sells tires for a 1.5" wheel though.
I pulled my serialized motor plate off and put one from a JRX2 on and just drilled the plate so I can run the stock 15t gear since the JRXT plates aren't available yet. Like the new body clips they used for the body, not sure why 1 wasn't used for the battery box though. Despite being Limited Editions doesn't mean the assembly team really cares. Still managed to mess up properly assembling the shocks and seem to have employed Hercules himself to tighten these cartridges on. Basically went through mine yesterday when it arrived and prepped it for the Mini Nats which is fast approaching. nothing too out of the ordinary, same issues with assembly as the Mini JRX2. I do like that they use proper length springs in the back on the truck though, so now you can actually adjust the rear ride height more. Haven't gotten to really run it yet other than just driving it down the hallway a few times. Also of note, same issue with the JRX2 a small spacer is needed up front to keep the wheels from slightly rubbing on the carriers. Also fair amount of play in pins. Also the outside bearings up front ride on the threaded part of the axles, which in turn has a lot of slop because the threaded part is slightly smaller in OD than the rest of the axle.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
First look is all crawler tires. https://www.amainhobbies.com/1.5-tires-tires-wheels-rock-crawlers/c9924?fk=37_1739&lg=fk37
Wonder if there's an odd tamiya kit that is close.
*EDIT* Looks lie Mini-B FRONT tires are close. Could always try that old cut-and-glue-to-make-your-own-tires trick from way back in the day!

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
It's a shame they didn't go with 1.6" wheels, could have used the JC RC10 tires in that case. You could also probably stretch the JRX2 tires onto the JRXT wheels.HS-YZ250 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 4:11 pmFirst look is all crawler tires. https://www.amainhobbies.com/1.5-tires-tires-wheels-rock-crawlers/c9924?fk=37_1739&lg=fk37
