Scr8p's Worlds Rere #8 - Jconcepts Goodies - 2023 Spring INS race l
I shuffled some parts around and now can move forward on another one of these. I couldn't do the chassis mods i typically like to do because they were already redone in blue. The only thing I did do was move the servo forward to get a little more weight on the nose. The nose plate had been on my b1.5m carpet car and I had shortened it for that build awhile back.
This car will be very similar to the #7 copper tub, but it'll have the Jconcepts black parts. Nothing really special besides that. I'm already set with Vonats dedicated 2wd builds for the next 3 events, so I think I'm gonna have this ready for the NC vintage race next January. We had a good time there and look forward to going again.

Did you anodize it, send it out to be done, or purchase it in blue?

Update time...
I was held up on a few parts for this for a little bit. Now that it's pretty much all here it was time to get it closer to completion. Gonna be racing it next month.

Well, I bought a bunch when they were $150 on A-main Hobbies, and bought clean used ones when they came along and I had the money to spend. When I saw the writing on the wall that these cars would be abandoned when it came to replacement parts I bought up all of the spares I could find and afford to buy. That alone helped to build almost 3 cars.

This is very sweet - just like all your race cars!
- (let me know if you ever want to sell any of your vintage race builds
)
We will plan for North Carolina again also - I am kinda thinking I might focus on B2/B3 cars for VONats, and aluminum tub RC10s for NC ?
- We'll see.

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Got the new Jconcepts Detonator Worlds body trimmed up and mounted. Still have to install the electrics and cut out some clear chassis tape for the bottom. Oh, and make a bumper.
