There was The Hornet, The Super Hornet, The Comical Hornet, The Hornet Jun Wanatabe, The Hornet Supreme...
Now the Hornet has more sting with the infusion of a mid motor position RC10B4 gearbox, independent rear suspension, and a 10.5T brushless motor with The Hyper Hornet!
Anytime Baby!

My Mid-motor B1, B4, B6 V2.
Lots of trial and error, but in the end a very satisfying build.
Off and on about 10 months to complete. At the time my lengthiest build by far.

The heavy hitters are up top, but I'll throw some fodder in.
ECX Torment, bought as a slider.
Mods limited to AE Rival MT10 big bore shocks, RPM bellcranks, Hot Racing aluminum steering blocks, and steering turnbuckles.
Avid S/C wheels. Schumacher front tires and JConcepts rears.
Electronics: Futaba receiver, Tower Pro servo, Arrma esc, and a Surpass 12T 550 (open endbell, adjustable timing).
Click on pics for better resolution (if you care

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2023 ** - Winner - Steve71
I'd love to vote for the Hyper Hornet and on another month I would , the JRX Pro is so low and sexy it should get my vote too but Steve71's Monster ... Well I'm always blown away by his work , the time , originality and just plain "damn that's cool"
factor , sorry everybody else.

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

I was really torn between voting for a couple of the entries. The "one vote is all you get" left me conflicted once again even though I think I made a good choice.
