Such a cool and odd conversion. The motor isn’t only forward it’s also flipped around and driving the clutch off the back side.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website

Whoa! That is a serious rubber band shooter! When I was a kid, we used our fingers. Actually hitting something was a special event to be celebrated.
Your boy will be picking off flies at 50 paces with that beauty.
LOL,
that is the low cost one, the alloy ones are marvellous and beautifull
My boy will kill the flies and he will surely annoy his sister...
Looking forward to trying these , still waiting on a spray booth with extraction before I try . These are those ultra real chrome for Lexan and airframe polished aluminium airbrush paints , it's kind of a whole lot of stuff from black gloss micro filler primer , a special gloss clear coat that doesn't change the finish and also a special or at least new to me airbrush cleaner , I've always used water based paints before so this is a new ecosystem for me .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

In my search for more steering servo savers I came across a place called Tony's Hobbies that had some additional vintage parts I wanted in stock.

That's where I found NIB Factory Team T4 threaded shock kit. Forgot about that place until this post. Nice score.
A load more parts for one of the most unloved Tamiya cars the Sand Rover / Holiday Buggy.

Believe me, it didn't last 10 minutes once it got out of the box. Literally took a few pics of it and teardown started.
If this was made in a different factory than the Tamiya, I would be surprised. So far, all suspension, steering, drivetrain parts appear identical, although I don't have actuals in front of me to compare. It is just a different tub made for toy electronics. The body is 90%+ the same. I have a rere body kit sitting around that was gifted to me awhile back by XLR8, so I can directly compare that. I printed off a tub (in two pieces), but some of the dimensions in the front bumper area are off, so I am working on that now. I will get a thread started about it soon.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.
Couple of well travelled Procats,
Got them off Jools from this site, (great trader, recommended)
Absolutely as described, one is very near Mint, the other needs some love, but parts now available easily, looking to turn one back to an XLS,
Will try to not crack into them until I finish some of my other unfinished projects.(famous last words)
Yep, look like you need to dissasemble the socks to remove them, at least rebuild kits for the shocks etc are cheap atm, can anyone tell me the difference between rear upper shock towers? the alloy one looks like a cougar or top cat???
I've been digging, doing some research, tapping into the past. On my journey I've Found some very interesting early posts by a lot of currant members here in the archives. Very interesting stuff! I encourage newer members to do the same, as the old...

Nope. I'm not clicking on any links in this thread because I know one of them is going to be Farmer's pic. :P
None of them were about that picture.
But now one of them refers to it.
But seeing how often it is mentioned in this thread, it sure...
This seems to be a hugely popular thread on another forum out there, so let's see how it do here?!?
Simple, what did you do RC wise today? Pics or it didn't happen! Painted a body, rewired a ESC, mounted some wheels, finished a 3-year project...

I Finally drove something R/C! :P
Having been purely a collector, the actual running of models hasn't been part of the equation in a very long time. I drove a small toy grade R/C car, and flew a toy grade dual coaxial rotor helicopter around...
Thanks to Hoopty for the design, and Mrlexan for the production. They look great. And Thanks again Jay for the body and wing to put them on, can't wait to get 'em dirty. :D

The seller even included a free gift of 4 bearings. Wow, can't wait for my tires to show up too (same as what's in the pic here).
Got a bunch of stuff now, including the RC Channel rear metal kit, SRB alloy chassis and nose. Just need the RC4wd...

since there is no rc4wd local distributor here in our place, they didnt ship here without approval, wasted a lot of good stuff from them (we need to order in a long process)
I built this today, its just a start, it was hard to get a picture of the whole track, unless I stood really far away... anyways more to come soon. its gonna be a lot of fun and was not too hard to do for just a few hours work! i made the rails out...

Big jumps and take some pictures of cars in action :D Looks amazing, I'd love a garden!
I thought I would start a thread having to do with cool/offbeat music. So your feeling a bit low, your dog has a bad case of fleas, it's raining outside, you can't run that awesome RC10 build because your missing 1 stupid part, nothing cool arrived...

I just picked up a few sort of new ones from work, Pink Floyd and AC/DC. The latest releases from both of them on CD.
