Info about Peak Performance Motor
Got this motor together with a bunch of old brushed motor, cleaned it and checked if it works (yes!:). The label is unfortunately damaged. Will do comm cut next! Does anyone have some info about this motors? Maybe some old add? From the info on the web it should be an early Yokomo version of Peak Performance motor. The armature seems to be double wounded with 14 turns according to the number written on it.
BTW: are new decals available for this motor?
Thank you!

Re: Info about Peak Performance Motor
I have a 21T that is otherwise identical. I believe that Peak used that same basic label on multiple motors.
It was some time before I knew, but don't confuse Peak Performance and Peak Racing. The latter is part of Orion.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Unfortunately the reference guide doesn´t tell the whole story.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 6:45 pm There are Peak Performance motors listed in the Guide.

It is a list with the different types made overall.
But the early yellow label motors were just a few of them.
The very first motor I received and still own was a prototype motor which became the Rick´s Pick later. A 13T Triple, a very good motor.
Other motors with the yellow label were 14T Double and 18T Double.
Maybe there were two or three other versions but most of them Doubles for sure.
So the 14T Double makes sense.

Thank you for valuable info, now I'm pretty sure the armature is genuine. The aforementioned guide is really nice as an overview, but it lacks some details, as well as some manufacturers which are IMHO worth mentioning (Corally, LRP...).V12 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 6:05 pm Unfortunately the reference guide doesn´t tell the whole story.
