Got my team blue groove\mci racing order in

I even got a bonus body and a few extra decal sheets.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Got another package; a trade from my good buddy Jason (@Bormac)...

All the sorts of stuff that I love to collect:
20221118_153213.jpg
From left; a boxed Tamiya TT01 Ford Escort Cosworth, a Tamiya M04 Mazda MX5 (Miata), and a HPI e10 (without body).

All have the gear included to make them ready to run (which makes things very easy for me)... and some spares were included as well.

I see strip-down and bearing installation in the future for the Tamiyas.... and maybe the Escort will have the decals removed, to try and improve the weird paint job. Definitely going to take the crawler spec ESC out of the HPI.... and then it gets a new body :)

Got a delivery from Jeff.

Battery strap for the FXT, towers for the TQ10, extended tower for a Stampede, and chassis braces for both Stampedes.

Not quite. Fiberglass, FRP type material. It does, however have a carbon-ish look.

Nothing in the post but I raided the local hobby store. I never thought I would run out of 1/8” e-clips but after 6 Losi builds and 2 to go, the well was dry! I bought all 3 packs they had, more hardware and a few other things I didn’t know I needed.

And I can tell you that through about 6-8 hours of e-research, that link was the only mention/visual of an EX-10 that I found while looking to purchase, just running every single search option I could come up to get to this car. And the fact that this one is also on a (assumed) Hot Trick chassis makes me wonder if the limited number that were made were all on Hot Trick chassis. And when I compare it to a Viper Pro-10, I want to say it is earlier because of the springs vs. single shock, but the complexity of the rear pod suspension is well more advanced than the Pro-10. When you put this car next to any other early pan car out there, it just seems crazy complex next to everything else IMO. Maybe it was too complex???

Thanks Phin! I did a bit of digging and found Inter-Fab did run ads for it in a couple of RCCAs in 1989. I thought for sure the body posts and front bumper on mine were not original, but from the pics, I am thinking they are. I also thought I got lucky because I already have a set of white BBS style wheels sitting around like the Pro-10 used, but from the ad, I think I have to find some polished alums.

If I had to guess as to why they're so rare, I'd say it was because they were really expensive compared to the Eliminator, 10L, Cobra, and even the Lynx. Even the graphite options from Associated or Bolink were cheaper than the Pro-10.
