It's a mod Twister. No silver can stocks for me. It's in really nice shape. I was also pleased to get it.Retro rc wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 1:58 amMod or stock twister can’t tell from the picFrankentruck wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 10:45 pm I don't know what it's going into, but this Novak Micro GT with a Mini-Monster mod motor was just too cool to pass up. So was the nice Twister motor. Its in really nice shape, I was also really pleased to get it.
Now I have to figure out what sort of battery connector that is.

Black can Twisters were mods. I can faintly see the endbell screw head.

Went ahead and bought some stuff for the FXT, even though I don't have it yet.
Those aren't the correct length turnbuckles but they were on sale for less than the ball cups. The turnbuckles will, however fit a RC10.
And I took a gamble on the gear pitch. At worst, I'm out $10.

The old Reedy Modified got my attention, and then there were a few more motors...

Wow! That is an incredible slider. Who makes that chassis?

This is a duke concepts dukomo yz10. The chassis, shock towers and topdeck are iridium. I will start a thread shortly of a teardown and cleanup.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Finally got me a Futaba FXT.
Overall, I think the condition looks pretty good.
The shocks that came with it are aluminum Traxxas "big bores", unfortunately they are all long ones.
It has a Novak M5, S148 servo, and a Tamiya BZ motor.
It also came with a Hobbywing 1040 esc and a Redcat 550 motor.
The wheels that came with it are actually aluminum. Bearing mount fronts are 12mm hex rears, with the correct offset.

That's awesome. I'll let you know the correct shock length, or can probably set you up with a full set of factory shocks, since you want to keep this one original. I actually want to get an aftermarket or different set of shocks for one of mine that will be a runner and not shelf queen.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 3:20 pm Finally got me a Futaba FXT.

Also, if you'd like, I have a bunch of extra body posts/mounts since it looks like the ones that came with your truck aren't original.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Not exactly the postman, but new incomings today...
I went to see a friend to get a Big Bear and a Super Wheelie I discussed to buy and agreed on a price a few months ago, and to provide him some printed wheels for his Ninja. I hleped him already in few occasions... He added two Hirobo 44B chassis in the lot as a gift (he already saw my recent moves on Hirobo front).

It seems I have now everything to be able to model both Zerda and 44Bs chassis within the next months (I suspect my friend having some needs in terms of Hirobo parts - he is a big fan of those cars)...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I assume that the shocks are the same length as the Blitzer.R6cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 3:32 pm That's awesome. I'll let you know the correct shock length, or can probably set you up with a full set of factory shocks, since you want to keep this one original.

Since I didn't have the correct wheels either, I decided to just go a little different. I have some yellow Terra Scorcher shocks coming and I have some new white Blitzer wheels.
I think that the front posts are original, just had another section added on. But yes, the original rear mounts are gone.
I already have some decals from MCI and have a TBG body ordered.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Got a shipment from Nitro Hobbies. Some new parts for the FXT and some Blitzer spares. I also picked up some Avante shocks for a future project.
Also got a shipment of vintage electronics from a member, WriteDean. Thanks.
I was actually looking through the old F/S posts and was thinking of asking him about the two Aristo-Craft esc's. Then he posted all of this together and it was too good to pass up.
