Yeah, the only bad thing about the Cougar is that the building fun doesn't last long. I should have ordered 2
But then I would be double-disappointed at not getting either one.

Re: Rere Cougar is coming
What tires are those on the rear?
Are you building a runner or a shelf queen? If it is a runner, what do you have in mind for power?
Do you have a color scheme in mind?
Sorry for all the questions, but I am living vicariously through the rest of you who have received their Cougars.

Went to the track and it was incredibly under weight so I had to add a ton of stick on weights. I put them mostly on the front end as I run on black CRC carpet.

The tires are Schumacher Cut Staggers in the front and Cactus in the rear both in yellow compound.1911Colt wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 1:20 pmWhat tires are those on the rear?

Its going to be a little bit of both. It will mostly sit on the shelf unless I feel like taking it out for some low stress racing. Since I am sponsored by R1 Wurks I outfitted with all R1 goodies and its got a 17.5.
I just painted a quick body for practice but I plan to get a cougar 2 body done up in my racing scheme.
Also the car handled incredibly well! I was so surprised when I took it around the track I find myself ripping pretty much instantly. After about 4 runs the belt started slipping and I couldnt tighten it enough to hold anymore. Black carpet just has too much traction for it. I just came home and installed the pro transmission with the slipper as I figured this would happen and had already purchased one just in case.
Gonna take it back out tomorrow its a blast to drive!

Very cool must have been a mission gluing those 2.2 tires to the 2” rims.
You’ll pretty much end up locking up the slipper but the 3mm belts are a must on carpet for sure

Very cool! I don't pay attention to names across the various platforms. I have already seen that car on a few FB groups and on YT.
If I can make the schedule work, I really want to race mine. Unfortunately, I am worried about durability. Modern cars seem to be nearly indestructible, and many racers like to demonstrate that theory at every opportunity. So your chassis getting bent will weigh on my mind.
