Hi,
I am pulling out my RC10 from 1988 and just pulled the 6-gear tranny. The E clip that was holding the idler gear shaft somehow fell out and penetrated the idler gears. They are not TOO bad of shape, but I would like to not put it back together and run it with damaged parts. I am hoping to print them on a 3D printer may be or find a way to locate more idler gears.
So I wanted to see if someone can point me in a direction where there are a lot of 3D printable parts. I need a server mount, battery box, and the gears to start. I have seen many pictures of some really cool stuff and was hoping to be able to look through some options. I feel like there are thousands of posts to look through and try and find something, I was hoping there is a section that has some items listed?
Thanks very much.

Re: Looking for Parts
Look at the shapeways store.
I'll say the the idler gears would probably be better as real parts, they are still out there from time to time.
Search rc10 on the store and you should see a ton of stuff.

Re: Looking for Parts
As above Shapeways has plenty of parts on it .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Re: Looking for Parts
welcome to the group.
Post up picture of what you have when you get a chance.
When I was 3d printing parts thingiverse was a great source for .stl files
https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=rc10&page=1&type=things&sort=relevant
You can recreate most of an RC10. The pla that I was using could make some parts that were useable, but most were too fragile for running, oddly enough arms worked.
Users here have had good luck with shapeways parts but I haven't personally used them. https://www.shapeways.com/marketplace?tag=rc10
I found that it's almost always better to pay out the money for real parts than to try and hack together a solution when you want something that works.
The 6613 gears were $7 new .
the stl is here
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4872976/
an ebay vendor 3d printer reproduction is
https://www.ebay.com/itm/153727498232
shape way version at
https://www.shapeways.com/product/4PNNXY42P/rc10-6-gear-trans-6613-6614?optionId=149635501&li=shops
an official associated set on ebay
https://www.ebay.com/itm/194866779111?hash=item2d5ef713e7:g:cU0AAOSw5kZiFXfx
Even though it's $36 on ebay it may be best to just pick them up if you can't 3d print your own. There are multiple times that spent 13$ 3 times instead of just buying a $30 part to start with.

Re: Looking for Parts
You could do the old school job of turning worn outdrives into metal idler gears by carefully removing the outdrive from them...
