Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
I pre-ordered a red one today. Perfect or not, I'm very excited for this as my first real race R/C was a JRX-2!
Hopefully we'll see a JRX-T version next!
Thanks Losi! And bring on the 1/10 versions next please!

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
So I have gotten my hands on one and I am impressed. Yes, we could all argue that they could have done this and that differently (I would have loved the original type gearbox) but I feel this keeps the spirit and helps hit a low end price point to make it attractive for nearly anyone.
The top shaft and slipper are identical to the Mini T 2.0 so the MIP top shaft and slipper pads should fit without issue. MIP will need to do some work to get the current mini ball diff to fit due to the outdrives.
I have 3 on the way and it has also inspired me to restore my original 1:10 JRX2 that needs tons of TLC.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
I doomed myself to a slow receipt but I ordered a red one from my LHS, to combat it I also ordered 1/3 of the parts to make one from Tower (as the payment processing from Horizon was fubar) enough parts to get the 3d design software brrring
I have a dumb idea I plan to do with the parts afterwards... that included making a jrx2 kit box in 1/16 scale >.> no idea if it will ever pan out but thinking about it is hilarious.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
My first impression was great, other than using four tiny body pins.
For a RTR, the transmitter doesn't feel too bad.
The rear shock springs could be longer.
Then I came to a conclusion, Jrx2 shocks still suck.
I pulled it apart to look for the problem. Just like old Losi shocks, the o rings can't be removed. This one appears to be binding at the o ring cartridge.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Pulled the shock apart. As I suspected, the o ring is all chewed up.
But the o rings can be removed. I used a 1/16 flat head screwdriver to remove the cap on the cartridge.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
I had noticed in the replacement parts that the cartridges come unassembled.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
I sent them an email last night and they responded today.
Said that they are shipping a new set of rear shocks. Hopefully, they are shipping from the US.
