Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I've actually have these since last week.
Anyway, got two Futaba esc's.
I initially planned to rewire both but the 330 had these Futaba labeled wires that I couldn't part with.
So I removed the huge Anderson/Sermos connectors and replaced them with Dean's and bullets.
The 230 had been rewired at some point, with the wrong colors and cheaper wire.
So I wired it with the correct colors. The black and orange wires are Race Prep, being the only indication that something is different.

This arrived in the office late last week, but only just rocked up there myself, so just opened the box now.
I'm only really interested in the parts for rebuilding my Sakura S Zero, so there will be onselling..... once I've sorted what's in here!
Alex
Lots of NIP mostly 3Racing parts, for ZX5, Sakura Zero, Ass 18R, Revo, and some others. 125 bags altogether apparently.... bought in bulk to save $$$

And then there was a late-afternoon bonus..... some gear for my vintage Mini Mustang racer build.....
Nice Reedy blinky ESC for the class I'm racing in, and a couple of cool modern servos.... not sure how long that KO will last in the collection, though, a mate already has his eye on it!

Bag of motors arrived, literally. A few are keepers, most are destined to look for the new homes. Most of the keepers need new labels.

The twister and 240st are only keepers. Restore those. Let rest go.

While they aren't anything special, I do like the Reedy Esprit motors.TheDiamondOne wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 6:45 pm The twister and 240st are only keepers. Restore those. Let rest go.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
The 2 Twisters, the unlabeled Parma Cyclone stock (has a cool can), the Novak Terra Claw, the blue end cap Igarashi, and the Birdman might be the keepers. The 24ST has some can rust that I might have to see if I can clean up. It's otherwise decent. One of the stocks is going to be turned into a 0 degree timing dyno load motor.

How are you planning to change the timing on a fixed can? Modify the endbell?Frankentruck wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 6:54 pm One of the stocks is going to be turned into a 0 degree timing dyno load motor.
I used a Trinity T-Tech (0° timing) with bearings and a Slot Machine armature.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I've seen stock motors that had the crimp tabs straightened out and then holes get drilled in the sides of the can for screws to thread into the sides of the endbell. A couple of the stock motors seem to have really worn bushings, so I would just take the 27T armature and use in an unlabeled modified motor, (I have a few) or I'd rebuild with bearings and do the can/endbell side screws mod with the stock can
