I used to have a close on a Zilla 2 chassis I sold 7-8 years ago and have since regretted. Anyway this popped up on the local CL about 20 mins away from me and at a reasonable price so I pulled the trigger. When I got home there were some killer extra goodies in the box.
The guy I bought it from was the 2nd owner, he was gifted it about 15 years back by a friend who knew he raced growing up. He had plans for it but never got back into the hobby so it's been in storage since.
The first owner was doing a stretched clod by using 2 chassis together. I think I want to hunt down another Zilla chassis maybe the CPE time warp chassis but I prefer the ESP style more.
Anyway, everything is in pretty good shape, very nice condition Trinity monster horsepower motors. The body's filthy but in good shape.
Does anyone no off hand, if the 1985 world champion Trinity black can motor is any different than the silver can?
The bonus pieces in the box turned out to be three extra Kyosho golds to make it a full eight.
NIP Chevy logo stickers and body/chrome panels and unblemished windshield.

Re: New Clod project
Thanks, I still have all the original take off from my last clod so I will prob bring it back to stock(ish) and replace any worn parts I come across.
I'll hold off on the Chevy stuff for now as I probably won't use it.

Re: New Clod project
Nice find! I too regret selling off all my clods years ago as well!
Hold onto this project and I look forward to your build. You have some nice vintage items in there as well!
