The simplest, and cheapest, option is to run the stock silver can motors with an ESC that's capable of handling a 3s lipo, and run a 3s. That extra 3.7V makes a huge difference, and those motors will last a good while even on 11.1V. That body looks great (but you need to turn the tires around ).
thanks . lol yea it came with the wheels like that have not had to take them off yet (will have to remove them to install the servos will fix them then)
printed out some proper servo mounts last night and the scoop (still trying to find a printable bumper) .sucks the previous owner cut the mounting tabs off the servos and zip tied them in place . so im going to have to replace the servos
Nice job on that. I have the same chassis but got the cantaliever suspension kit for it. Never did get it all together. And I had a gravedigger body for it.
Just now looking at getting back into this hobby so after I get my rc10 back in action I may revisit the clod. Had aspirations of dual servos for the steering ( to crab walk) and a suspension that actually works ( only had stock spring only shocks on it at the time it was running) if I recall it has Trinity matched madness motors and a pdi turbo zeta speed controller. Plenty of room for improvement with the new electronics now.
Enjoy!
I really miss my old ClodZilla 2's I had. I had a few custom built ones from ESP. Think I sold it on ClodTalk.com back in the day.
My biggest issue with the Z2 was it was top heavy. I slways mounted my electronics where the battery went and used the Z4 battery mounts to lower the center of gravity.

Thanks, yeah I've sold way too many of my clods. I only have one of the dozen I built over the years.... maybe I'll build another. Always been a fan of cantilever suspension, so if I see one I may have to grab it....
