New member from Brisbane, Australia

Post by DimitriYZ »

Hi Guys, my name is Dimitri, and I'm from Brisbane, Australia.

I've browsed the forum on and off for years when it pops up in my google searches. had an on and off interest in RC since an early age. I had a couple of Tamiya buggies, a Traxxas, and finally a Worlds RC10 before loosing interest in RC for a while. I've had a few flirtations since but nothing serious, but last yeah I bought my 2nd ever proper race buggy (after the RC10) , a used XB2 and have been enjoying racing at our local track Chargers a lot.

I have a few Tamiya buggies again to play with but decided to get a bit more serious and am currently building a YZ-10 based on a YR-4 donor and some repro' parts as a proper runner/vintage race car. certainly inspired by Michael Vollmer's neo-vintage builds.

We have the state titles at my home track this year, and will be holding a "non sanctioned" vintage race so hopefully it will be ready for that later in May. I'll start posting some photos of my progress soon :)

Dimitri!! Welcome!! There are several folks on here from Australia (not me though). This is the spot for the best vintage RC action. I have a very narrow interest in the Traxxas buggies and they still let me stumble around here!
Hope you're doin' something fun.
