Trinity EV10 Ad/Box Art Replica
I remember sitting in grade school around 1992 and seeing the EV10 magazine ad in RCCA. I never owned one until recently, but it was always my dream to make a replica of that ad and box art car. Fast forward nearly 30 years, and my dream has now become a reality. It's not 100% accurate because there are a few details that I simply couldn't replicate exactly. But I'm happy with the end result, and this is my favorite build I've ever done.

This is epic!
I also remember this ad. Remember that I wanted one so bad.
I used to race Corally pan cars but have
always had a soft spot for the Trinity pan cars.
Is that a Losi front battery cup?

I also always wanted one as a kid, but I always raced gearbox cars at a local carpet oval.
Yes, it's a Losi battery cup with the lid flipped upside down and a Trinity sticker on it. The kits came with a different Trinity cup and lid, which I didn't realize until recently and had to track down the appropriate Losi parts.

Wrong colour heat shrink on the RX battery , completely ruins it
, seriously that's beautiful

Thanks! I'm still thinking of changing that heat shrink but haven't found the correct size yet. It's the one thing that sticks out that needs changed. I'm not sure if Trinity actually sold those packs in pink/purple, but I was lucky enough to find a NIP one with black shrink and didn't want to ruin it but cutting it off. I may even try wrapping this one in vinyl over the black.

Re: Trinity EV10 Ad/Box Art Replica
I picked up a painted Protoform 1402 Nissan P-35 body a few months ago. I had to drill and cut it for my EV10, which wasn't a fun experience. But I added some era-correct stickers and absolutely love how it turned out.

Here’s something you might like to look at for a body to go on it

Re: Trinity EV10 Ad/Box Art Replica
I was drooling all over these ads when they were out. This car was just the coolest! I finally saved up and got the real deal and really enjoyed putting it together. At the time, it was by far, the fastest car I had ever driven. In fact, it was the first car I ever had where you MUST put a body on it to keep it from going airborne! Without the body on to remind it that it was a car, it would act as if it was an airplane!

Re: Trinity EV10 Ad/Box Art Replica
Jim Dieter has told me the chassis was so narrow because they had a complete ground effect setup that was removed when it was protested at the IFMAR world champs. Interesting tidbit...
