Hello from Rhode Island
Hello from Rhode Island and no it’s not an island lol. I started down the rc rabbit hole in 83 when I was 13 and my parents got me my first one a tamiya frog. I’ve always wanted an rc10 and finally got to add one to my collection of scale and crawler trucks. This definitely won’t be the last and I’m looking forward to learn more about my rc10 and other vintage stuff.

Re: Hello from Rhode Island
Welcome. Your RC10 looks pretty clean. Any more photos? Inside, underside, electronics, etc?

Re: Hello from Rhode Island
Thanks guys yeah I got some pictures. It’s a lot cleaner now just waiting on a few things to put it back together. As for electronics I’m staying brushed and I think I have an old futaba servo not sure on an esc yet
this is what is what it’s looking like now

Re: Hello from Rhode Island
Welcome (from another recent arrival!)
Like you I always admired the RC10s (and Optimas) from afar being primarily a Tamiya owner in my youth. Not that it was really an option (due to finances!) when I was younger, but it makes me realise what I was missing with the quality of the non-Tamiya kits.
If I'm honest I'm not that fussed about the 'proper' vintage pedigree and am perfectly happy with re re versions as long as I get to build it!
Anyway, I look forward to seeing more on your refurbishment and how the old girl runs...if that's the eventual plan?
Cheers, Paul

Thank you, I’m thinking about adding an optima or Schumacher CAT XLS and possibly a losi but I’m definitely adding another rc10. It’s not perfect or pristine but I just didn’t want to put wrong stuff on it, I’m going to do stuff to it I would have back in the day and it’s going to be driving for sure
