What if someone's willing to get one at the $37 sale price and ship it to Canada? Not sure if it would be worth it, as I have no clue how much shipping would be to our friends to the north...? I've never shipped anything internationally.

The deal is over, unless someone wants to give one up anyway

Unfortunately with the USD-to-CAD exchange and outrageous shipping costs from US to Canada, it would probably end up not saving us much from the $153 price from Walmart Canada. It's almost guaranteed to be a lot cheaper on AliExpress. I'm lucky I got mine along with a bunch of motors, batteries and electronics for $80 plus shipping from a seller on eBay. A second one for parts would be nice, but I'm sure you'll see these popping up all over eBay pretty soon.

Your thread was actually what put them on my radar. Until then, I had written them off as toy grade.

I knew that people were talking about them but never gave it any more thought.

WLtoys have been around for quite a while , over 10 years at least , to the best of my knowledge they started by cloning micro RC helicopters , thing was the clones they made were more robust than the originals , the V911 was an entry level fixed pitch flybar micro Heli that was the trainer Heli for a generation , then they clones another CP Heli and called it the V977 , again more robust and cheaper than the original it became the CP trainer of its day , after that they started making their own stuff and the quality went up again ! Their micro Heli's are still very good , when they moved to cars they used the same model by cloning the Vatarra Twin Hammers , they made a virtually perfect clone with the exception of the electronics , they are fixed on a combo RX/ESC and 5 wire servo's across the range but otherwise the plastics are very good , certainly way better quality than the price suggests. After that they moved on to designing their own stuff , I've got one of their 1/18th cars the V959b , it's bonkers ! It's 1/18th with a 540 motor !
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Their own design the V977 was way better as a Micro CP trainer , super robust and another company even started using the airframe under licence with a better electronics package !
