Thanks, also have a GTX esc on the way. Been waiting on titanium turnbuckles, carbon fiber battery strap & aluminum thumbscrews for the RC10T4.3, which apparently needs to hit multiple regions of the country before coming to Illinois. 4 day shipping my ass

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I got this cobbled together piece of junk.
Not paying close enough attention to the pictures, I didn't realize what I had actually purchased. Phin identified it for me.
It is apparently a "modified" Composite Craft chassis with a "modified" Delta 1/12 rear pod.
On the bright side (less dim), everything seems to move freely.

I hope you don't think it's junk because of me. If it sounded like I was calling it a piece of junk, I apologize...I don't think it is.
TBH, I almost made an offer on it too.

I call most of my stuff junk, regardless of condition. And it is cobbled together, thats just a fact.
And I'm sure that there are plenty of good parts here, probably worth well more than I paid for the car.
I've got it halfway stripped apart and cleaned. Cobbled together or not, everything seems to be in decent enough condition. I think it will clean up okay.

Interestingly, I occasionally run across eBay listings from Japan. Often they have the word junk in the description rather than the word used. I asked a seller about that once and was told that junk was the correct word because it wasn't a new item.

I have the Fazer Mk2 '70 Chevelle SS from Kyosho and it's a great car; good speed and handles very nicely - much better than the Vaterra/Losi V100 chassis. Also, I've found the radio system included with the car is among the very best I've ever seen in an RTR -- especially the transmitter.
A buddy of mine from high school as a 1:1 '67 GTO convertible in same colors.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Sort of an odd collection arrived this week. The 3PK radio is probably way too sophisticated for my driving, but I love that it can be used as AM, FM, or 2.4ghz by changing RF modules. And it came with the nifty industrial overkill storage case.
The RF module is a Ch 90 75mhz AM Tx module for the 3PK radio. But I don't have any Ch 90 Rx crystals...
...and the other end of the technology spectrum is the 2DR Attack 2 stick radio, with R162JE receiver and Ch 90 crystals. I have no delusions (yet) of being able to competently drive Masami style with this radio.
I'm not planning to move on from my 2PL radio (because it works great), but I think this stuff will be fun to experiment with.

I started out with a Futaba twin stick and I still can't drive one competently.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 6:22 pm ...and the other end of the technology spectrum is the 2DR Attack 2 stick radio, with R162JE receiver and Ch 90 crystals.
