rc10t2 History, Hop-Ups and threads

Post by JosephS »

Hello all,
I recently purchased an rc10t2 for what currently goes for a good price. I'm interested in reading up on it as it seems like a really interesting truck.
It almost seems like it would be the equivalent of an rc10T worlds truck with lots of quality of life improvements taken from the rc10GT.

It looks like it shares most parts of the late edition rc10T with the notable differences of the 3/16" universals, 2.6 stealth and the redesigned aluminum tub chassis.

Were there many or any rc10t2 hop-ups? Was the platform race successful?

What is the best way to mount 12mm big bores to this truck?

It shares most of the suspension from the 10T, so all the same stuff applies.

Other than what you mentioned, the steering geometry is different. The tub is longer, using the foreword mounting holes. This allows the use of the GT/DS servo saver. It has the same geometry as buggies.

All you really need for big bores is to space the shock at the tower, just enough for the shocks to move freely.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

I'm a bit biased but the RC10T2 was a fantastic truck! It was basically an improved version of the RC10T which had the better steering geometry and the higher torque 2.60 transmission. RC10T/T2/GT all shared most parts so there were tons of aftermarket parts available for it.

Yes it was successful, look up Pavidis RC10T2 and there is an article in RCCA magazine that covers it.
