Clean, but as-used shelf queen. As it would look sitting on the shelf of a 14 yo kid in 1988 who drives it a few packs every weekend, but keeps it clean and well maintained.
So what did you get in the post today ???

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I've got a couple of those Tekin Rebels. They can be finiky to program. Having to do it four or five times isn't uncommon.

No experience with these. I'll do a search but can't hurt to ask, how do you go abouts to program them? Hope at least one of them works considering I got 'em pretty cheap, like two for the price of one kinda cheap.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:19 pm I've got a couple of those Tekin Rebels. IMHO, the only bad thing about them is their size. Otherwise, they seem to be pretty solid esc's.

Isn't that a great feeling? Must be like finding a BNIP white bumper for a TRX-1.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Snatched up a Futaba FXT parts truck. Came with the Novak 610-RV esc pictured in the previous post above, cheapo garbage can worthy 550 motor & Traxxas Rx. Also the chrome 5-star HPI 2.2" wheels that I actually like, so they'll be reused with a nice set of replaced tires and refinished/repainted as I see fit. Between this one and my other FXT parts truck, I should have everything to make a complete unit, plus a handful of extra spare parts and possibly a complete spare trans.

Before that Traxxas Rx hits the trash bin... can you tell me what model it is? I have a few vehicles in the RC garage running on Traxxas radio equipment.

Traxxas 2215, 27MHz with crystal. Don't know if it works or not, but you can have it if ya want it. I replied to your PM shortly after you sent it, did you receive it? My reply is still in the outbox and did not go to my sent messages, weird.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 6:32 pm Before that Traxxas Rx hits the trash bin... can you tell me what model it is? I see your PM reply now, but didn't get a notification. PMs are done differently on this site than others I've been on.
Thanks for the details on the Rx. I might have a use for it. Will PM.

Got a couple Trinity Speed Gems. One is in great condition and the other is better than average.
The ebay listing said that the Sapphire didn't work. But upon seeing that it had a diode on it, I figured that there was a good chance that they hooked it up backwards. I was right, it works fine.Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

So you're the one who got those. Nice to hear they both work good, at a great price too. I was watching them but decided to pass because I already have two Jade motors, one original and one Speed Gems 2, and really only wanted the Sapphire. The fella who sold them lives about 40 mins from me.
