So I picked up the Graphite RC10 off Bikerbob (James), and had some questions about a couple of the parts. Im tearing down my Team Car to swap over some components and was inspired by Siebenelch and his RC10.

In going through the parts from james, I have the following parts. (See Circled.)
Anyone have ideas on how to properly install the steering? I have an idea about what is needed, but I can't find a long enough screw. Also, What shock tower is this?

I want to make a hybrid Stealth car, and Im not sure if i can given some of the parts i have.

Thanks Tulsa, I figured SOMEONE would know!

Now, that said, do i need any particular shocks? Do I want to use buggy Rears all the way around? Suggestons?

Again, with this graphite I hope to use this in Vintage racing class at my local track. I was looking at my T2 and whether to strip the shock tower off it. Anyone know if the T2/10T tower is still available in CF?

HI Momo, nice clean goldie and bunch of parts! Those RPM shorty bumpers are awesome for runners. For that steering bellcrank, it uses 1/4"x3/8" flanged bearings, same as the ones used for the 1/4" rear axles in addition to a plastic post mount. Also, a T2 rear shock tower has different mounting holes than the 10t/10.

Looking forward to the rest of your collection :D
Old school racing all the way!

Nothing yet David. I pulled it out of the bag though and drooled over it again! Im still on the hunt for some parts. I have a lot of projects going now, so I can't yet find a clean space for assembling the car.

In all I have about 8 RC10s (I think). 4 gold tubs, a team car (being stripped for the graphite) a 10T, and a T2. Plus, i have a 2nd team car that Im working a deal for. It should be here in a week. Not to mention the RPM chassis from David.

I need a bigger workbench.

Update 2:

Just scored an Early model 10T on the local CL for $50. Great shape, mainly stock with lots of white parts. Blue Tekin Sport ESC and Fut. radio gear.

Pics coming soon. I'll try an update w/ pics of my racer too.

I THINK this is my latest count:
5 Gold Tub
2 Team Car
1 Graphite
2 10T

I got the CL Find of the month (maybe).

Despite my layoff (Going to work for Yahoo, Hopefully start next week) I still look locally for good deals of RC stuff. My last buy was several months ago, almost mint 10T. (i'll try and get pics soon.)

Well, I went browsing the other day, and hit pay dirt!

RC10 - Team car chassis, Gold nose, upgrade Losi bell crank steering. Incl. box
Proline monster truck conversion kit Incl. box
Stealth Trans box
Futaba Magnum Sport Radio
Novak T4 ESC and receiver plus manuals
Slot Machine motor
15 min Charger
Tool box w/ spares
Several sets of tires
extra radio xtals
etc.

Asking $150 Got it all for - $120!!!

The ONLY thing that appears missing is one of the long axles for the front wheel. I emailed the seller asking him to try and locate it as well as one black front tire that appears missing as well. I may have to do some work to make the conversion work, and also figure out if Im going to convert one of my cars to run it. The Proline body is in REALLY good shape, can't say the same for the buggy body that came with it.

So I charged up the battery today, and everything works. I chased my son (who is 1 now) around the house, and he just laughed. I think I have a future RCer on my hands.

Pics!

7 motors (most are vintage)
several battery packs (some are Red SCRs)
2 ESCs, one older Tekin and one Novak 410 M5
2 Radios / 2 Chargers
spare arms, shocks, universals, several bodies (one B3)
Lots of tires, many still like new
