Laser Mini Pro esc 1989
As I have been reminiscing about the British heatsink ESC era, and steadily collecting up a few Demon and Nosram esc's, I have started also looking into Laser offerings, mainly due to a build I am working on which originally pictured in late 80's mags with a Laser esc fitted.
I somehow quickly went from zero to four Lasers in a very short period of time after making a post on the Book of Face asking for info and leads. I was actually gifted two for free
Now I have them all lined up I can see they are very very small compared to the Demon offerings of a couple of years prior, with the smallest one I have appearing to be a Laser Mini Pro from 1989 from what I have gathered so far. If anybody (Francis, that means you...) has any further info then please do post it up. These all seem to be a variation on the same theme, but with increasing FET counts.

Yeah, Frances has a bit of info on Laser esc's. I've got an early (pre fet) relay Laser and a Ni-Cd charger. I was planning on getting the esc working properly & fitting it in my Zerda.
The ones you have are really nice.

I actually used a Laser thermal charger as my main power source for many years during my racing days, until I eventually smashed the thermal sensor bulb. I have recently gathered up a couple more and use them to charge my old school cells... i'll get them into another thread for reference.

Re: Laser Mini Pro esc 1989
Looking at your esc's, I would guess the top one is the earliest because that has the same trim pots as my esc, all of your others have the Nosram type pots.
I'm not sure what my charger is as it was cheap and bought for the sake of it. I'll get a pic up tomorrow as maybe you will know what type it is.

Interesting that yours has those same pots - I was thinking they might have been swapped out so I am pleased you have mentioned that!
Laser thermal charger post is op so you should be able to ID yours. There were only 2 versions!

Here's a Laser Comfet I recently picked up. It has reverse with the relays under the board like other Laser's.

For comparison, here's the earlier pre-FET Laser Compact (i believe it to be this model or very similar), the layout is the same as above with the relays on the opposite side of the board.
You can see the pots I mentioned
