Thanks, everyone. A tie and vote off would have been cool.

Had a tough inner struggle choosing between Paolino, Thumbs and TheDiamondOne. Voted hours before the deadline. If I would've known better, should've voted in favor to make a tie because of the epicness which would have ensued.

yeah towards the end of the month if its a two horse race unfortunately voting for anything else is a wasted vote...sux because if we were allowed two votes per month it avoids these issues

Indeed, should've taken a gander at the votes since it was last minute.

I'm never much of a fan of yellow, but this unit just touches me feelings in good ways. I really dig it.

In the event of a tie, I say that you defer to "rules of cool" for vintage rc's. We all know them.
- Electronics are better than not having them.
- Vintage electronics are better than modern, just saying.
- Clean/neat wiring obviously trumps messy wiring.
- A nice runner is cooler than a shelf queen.
Then, admins use executive authority to determine the winner.

Ok, quit foolin' around guys. I think we all know how ties need to be settled... And we'd finally get to wear the shoes.

I wouldn't be opposed to contestants having two votes. So that you aren't forced to choose between yourself and someone else.

I don't know , if you vote blind then you actually vote for what you want , id quite like to see what would happen if we could only see the scores after we vote ?
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2021 ** Winner - TheDiamondOne
Gotta wait for BOTYC for two votes. If it's a tie otherwise, there is a vote-off tie-breaker to determine the winner. One member, one vote except for the BOTY. That's that and it is what it is. If you like the build and it "speaks" to you, vote for it. There seems to be a thing that people want what they think is the sweet build to win. I have voted many times for a clear loser (overall contest-wise) but one that I thought was awesome while thinking why in hell are there so many votes for the leading entry. Everybody votes for the one they like. Except, I guess sometimes people vote to keep the two that may be out front really close and keep people guessing, etc. I guess it is just the BOTM/YC dynamics that are obviously interesting (this duscussion has reached philosophical levels it seems). More than one vote just seems kinda cheesy like a reality TV show plot twist when really it is a simple as:
1-"See them ten builds right there?"
2-"Yup, they sure are purdy."
1-"One, you can vote for one."
2-"Dagnabbit!"

Hope you're doin' something fun.
