Which reminds me: a couple links in your main screen of the Factory works site don't work: for example the "shocktowers"

Yeah those are areas that will get populated soon. Now that I'm close to being caught up on shipping out stuff I'll have a little more time. I'm struggling with how to properly take pics of everything. When I was at Kelly Lunsford's a few weeks back he had a really nifty booth for taking photos, I might have to twist some arms and see if I can borrow it's use

A cutdown cardboard box, white bed sheet and desk light could work wonders.
Keep up the good work. You're a hero in my book

Re: TRX-B (poor mans TRX3) and SRT-R (you guessed it!)

you can build a 2d cutout 'duplicating machine' but struggle with a cardboard box, bedsheet and table lamp

Honestly, I have faith in your ability Jeff so don't get all serious on me again

But to be honest, not sure about Oregon but we have a Dollar Tree store by me that sell that foam core white board people use for like garage sale or graduation signs that you can build a foldup lightbox out of for about 4 bux and use a shop light for a light source. Fold it up and put it up above a light somewhere until you need it again...
Doh! got another pm from someone on the board here...

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I had a quick question for GoMachV. The rear wheels on your TRX3-B are they the Traxxas wheels? And do they have a 12mm hex? TRA2474
I’m having what I think are fitment issues with some associated wheels I purchased. They are rubbing on the rear shocks. I was thinking maybe using the Traxxas wheels would have the correct offset. Awesome chassis BTW. I like the use of the nitro rustler rear bulkhead.

Re: TRX-B (poor mans TRX3) and SRT-R (you guessed it!)
I don’t recall what I had on that particular car- they were likely the original bandit wheels. If I understand your dilemma you want a 12mm hex wheel with and old school offset to not rub on an AE buggy- for that I would recommend the Traxxas Mini E-Revo wheels. They are 2.2 buggy wheels. Part number is 7171. I have used them on optima variants and such, really the only negative is that they don’t offer a 2wd front that would match, and the mounting flange is thin which may require a washer on some axles. Here’s a set on one of my trailing arm cars.
Re: TRX-B (poor mans TRX3) and SRT-R (you guessed it!)
Thanks for the tip. I will take a look at those wheels. I am actually building up a Bandit with rear motor that I put associated wheels on it. I just think the offset is too deep and the inside lip of the wheel will contact the rear shock. But I’m going to take a look at the e-revo wheels

Where do I get the chassis you've used? I have two TRX-1's I'm planning to bring back to life... and, configuring one as a TRX-3/TCP hybrid is definitely within consideration for me.

We are the maker of the TRX-B and SRT-R, however if you have a trx1 it will not fit as these are designed for bandit and rustler. There would be a lot of redesign needed.

You could clone the CC TRX-1 top deck though!

But I'm getting off-topic at this point in the thread. Just a thought. Random.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

@GoMachV
Finally got the 7171 wheels in. Unfortunately the offset is now to much. They push the width out too far now. Thank you for the option though. I will mess around with different width wheel hexes and hope for the best.

Re: TRX-B (poor mans TRX3) and SRT-R (you guessed it!)
Do the old SRT dish wheels require different arms since the original Rustler had different offset wheels?
Or can you run the rear dish hex wheels on the front/rear of the newer Rustlers?

I don't know if they are available separately, but RPM Revolver wheels come with hexes that are fairly thin.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
