Custom Works Dominator Refresh
Here's a Custom Works Dominator I finally built after having it sit for a few years. I replaced all the plastic pieces, polished the metal parts and added Houge diff sprockets and new chains.
I used a re-wired Novak T-1X, NER-2X, NES-1A and receiver pack, along with an East Coast Modifieds mod motor. Cells are still undecided. The body is a Protoform Vortex Low Drag Oval Wedge.

The original catalog photo that started my obsession with the Vortex. And a CW Bloomquist Wedge and another beater Protoform Vortex body:

I feel like if you don't make up a set of silicone caps to put on it, it just isn't complete. Don't get me wrong, it's an absolutely AMAZING build! I always wanted one of these in spite of never racing dirt oval, nor having a dirt oval track anywhere near me ever. They just look so frigging cool and singularly purposed. Blazing fast sitting still.

I actually do have a set of rubber caps on Cyclone wheels, but they're starting to crack. I'm going to clean them up and at least take a few photos with them on the car.adam lancia wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 3:31 am I feel like if you don't make up a set of silicone caps to put on it, it just isn't complete. I never had a dirt oval anywhere near me as a kid either but I always loved the CW magazine ads.
