Re: Carlsson
Look what I got for Xmas. Never had a 1/12 scale car, but since it was a Carlsson I just had to get it. Did not take time to clean anything up before taking these pictures. I know from looking at other 1/12 Carlsson cars that the base for this car should look just like the larger scales but who ever did this was really good. Lots of missing parts, but with body and motor and look at all the tires. And don't forget the manual. Happy Holidays too all

Re: Carlsson
Shorty after getting my 1/12 scale Carlsson I was able to get what looked like a Beginner or a pro 80. With all the parts I have I was sure that I could do something with it. As it worked out I had most of the parts to make a pro 80 (even a body from Carlsson with pro 80 stamped on it) but I wanted to make a beginner because it didn't look like my viking. I'm almost done working on it but here is what I got.

Re: Carlsson
Here are some pictures of work that needed to be done on this car. Removed all paint from wheels and put on new tires. The Leo engine did not turn over and had no carb, but an old OS 21 worked great, and a couple of days cleaning and the engine fired up. Needed to make new engine mounts and redo the rear axle (the one in the car had a 3/4 spacer on it) by putting threads and nut on the end. Replaced just about everything on the front end. Changed the rear bumper but left the front on because of the body that came with the car works great. Working on a radio tray now from a Viking with gas tank.

Re: Carlsson
At this point I've done all I can to make this car look like a Beginner with he parts that I have. Made the opening larger around the engine for the air cleaner and put the wing on , added old type servo's and linkage.

Re: Carlsson
With the four wheel drive on the car I had to change the body also. I replaced the Viking sport with a Mercedes 450 SLC I had . Also put the roll bars on both my cars at the same time.
