RC10T2 Fun Truck
With many thanks to Todd I picked this up a little while ago off ebay. From the photos it looked pretty tidy but when it arrived it was actually a bit rough. I don’t think it was used a whole lot but it appears that it had a pretty hard life in that short time. It's not a basket case by any means but the parts that I wanted to be nice were not
The worst of It was it had a broken front arm and one of the CVD's were cobbled together without the little barrel. It did come with a new set of front arms though ....

Re: RC10T2 Fun Truck
So far I've completely stripped it and cleaned about 3/4 of it. I just have the shocks and diff to rebuild plus see what screws I can salvage and which need to be replaced. It should make for a tidy truck once finished as long as I don't tear it up too much.

Pretty much ready for reassembly, just need to work out my turnbuckle situation
All in all it cleaned up quite well, except you can hardly tell with my crappy camera

Re: RC10T2 Fun Truck
That body was so nice I kept it for myself.
In case you were wondering what your frequency was
You can see I trimmed the spoiler to try and fit it in the box. Just wasn’t happening without being a really crammed fit. Yes those are rivets holding the spoiler on.

I was hoping the wheels were in slightly better shape but they still look ok, good for a runner. I can't wait to build it

Re: RC10T2 Fun Truck
Now I wish I hadn't thrown away all my old used turnbuckles. I cleaned up these ones ready for bluing, however the local shop has been out for over a month
They actually came up pretty good ! Once re-blued they should look new.

Todd is the Wheeler Dealer of the RC community...always bringing together an rc enthusiast to an RC car!... He made possible my first DS car back in 2013 which became one of my favorite model cars of all time.RC10th wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 7:54 am With many thanks to Todd I picked this up a little while ago off ebay. Re: RC10T2 Fun Truck
Wow, I didn't realized people replied to this thread..... lol.
Kym - I have no idea what that MT tire is from. As Todd said those are the sellers pictures, and as Todd thought the body was so awesome he kept it for himself I couldn't really take new pictures.
Todd also has a 6th sense for stadium trucks, he's always pulling a full family of rabbits out of a hat while riding a unicorn...
ok, maybe the unicorn bit was a bit much but he's always digging up the rare goods.
I'm itching to put this together but I'm still waiting for turnbuckles, when I found out a bottle of gun blue was roughly the same price as a set of Lunsfords I just went ahead and ordered a set.
Funnily enough I found set of those exact frequency stickers on ebay and almost bought them just to use for nostalgia.... And an antenna flag...... Rad !!
They are still there for $1.00
