I remember throwing out a white nylon shaft with a smaller point think on the end some years back no knowing what it went to. I'm trying to reassembly the shocks as part of the rebuild and I instantly remember what it was for
Next time put all of the tools with the spare parts so I don't forget ...

I’ll just add.. no matter how long you keep something.. if you throw it out, 2 weeks later you will need it! Never throw anything out!!
When I rolled into my last job, there was legacy "junk" in every nook and crannie. At first I thought "imma ckean this place up!" Then I thought, "maybe the old-timers brfore me knew something I don't" I MacGuyvered a ton of stuff with all that junk! It drove me crazy working around it and reorganizing it umpteen times and I got rid of some obviously obsolete stuff but in the end, the junk won. I couldn't toss anything either . If you've got the space....yeah, never throw stuff out. I sure as hell kept Chuck Mawhinney's "TRANS/FILL" dipstick. It was still in the carboard mailing tube with the shipping label.

Hahaha, so true! Legacy "junk" is going to be my new excuse for everything laying around my place. "Hey, it doesn't matter that its junk, its got legacy........."
To be fair, I also have a MOUNTAIN of associated shock tools and plastic wrenches
Took a load of trash to the dump today and scored these. Not into planes but these are friggin sweet.I got 9 foot ceilings in my place so I want to find some old engines for them and hang them up.

biggest trophy we found at a recycling center was a giant simplicity snowblower with a bad front bearing and broken flapper because of it. I think about $125.00 bucks later we had a monster of a snowblower ready to rock and roll.
Well, as I've said before, we recently bought a house so the RC funds have been low, but I've managed to hook up a few eba finds for RC10s and look forward to doin some restores. Just got a SS5800 and an auction for an RC10 graphite and a black...

Yup...even the Platinum shocks are poop (performance-wise, anyway).
Nope - in capable hands the platinums perform really well - If You have a set, try lending it out ;-)
I have a set, I can't even sell it. Well, not on here, anyway....
